The project consists of two parts. The first concerns the actual city of Milan and its connection with the movie by Antonioni. The analysis of the cinematic and urban space, resulted in the conception of a path with five stops which follows every single one of the five places that the lead actress visits in her walk. In each of the stops, a sign will be placed.

The second part of the project regards the design of an exhibition about La notte in the industrial suburb Sesto San Giovanni. The site of the exhibition, is the demolished water tower of Breda Industry, which can be seen in the movie scene shot in Sesto San Giovanni. The recreation and redesign of this tower shall provide the location for an exhibition whose themes are: Milan and Sesto San Giovanni, urban architecture of the city, the female role and the Italian culture of the ‘60s.
