His research focuses mainly on the architecture of Byzantine and post-Byzantine church architecture, medieval and modern military architecture, neoclassical architecture and town planning, pre-industrial technology and conservation issues (over 160 publications and 170 presentations in conferences and scientific meetings). Member of the
