The course refers to thirteen Greek artists and covers the years 1840 – 2020. We refer to the Munich School, the Paris School, the interwar years, the generation of the 30s, the generation of the 60s and the generation of the 70s. We present and analyze the work of the thirteen artists with an emphasis on the plastic values ​​and the morphological pursuits of each artist, along with reference to the socio-economic and political environment of the era. The aim of the course is to understand the importance of modern Greek art from the founding of the Greek state to the present day.
