Ιntroduction to art practice and critical visual/ spatial thinking. Students acquire technical and conceptual skills in the mediums and across mediums, through site-specific projects in the city. Projects develop in stages, documenting and transposing the experience of insignificant events in different scales, mediums and spaces, organizing the material towards the realization of an intervention and finally discussing the experience of the work and the experience of transformed place. Students familiarize with spatial practices in contemporary art, such as process, installation and performance, as well as with the fundamental concepts of site-specific, context and participation. Lectures, guest presentations and in-situ visits complement practical training.
