The course is a continuation of the fall semester course, expanding upon applied mediums (photography, collage, text) and deepening their open and critical application.
Awareness that the observation and recording of space contains spatial, historical and social information. Individual and teamwork as appropriate, discussions in the studio.
Introduction to the practices of contemporary art (installations, performance, event, artist's book).
Lectures, guest speakers’ presentations, visits and bibliographic research compliment the practical training.
The objectives of the course are the understanding of space beyond its spatial meaning and again through this prism:
a. the refinement of observation
b. ways of recording
c. the introduction to means, materials and practices
d. sketches as design notes, constructions
e. the organization, critical management and presentation of the project work
f. syntaxis of a personal means of responding.
